Full Article: 

Born and raised in Utuado, Puerto Rico, completed his M.S. research at the University of Puerto Rico, Mayagüez, where he also received his B.S. in Biology. He is interested in the ecology and conservation of Caribbean herpetofauna. His master’s degree research focused on interactions between Puerto Rican herpetofauna with their environment and how species diversity and abundance change over space and time. Currently he is on his PhD. degree and his research is focus on the Microevolution of bio-acoustical signals and inner ear anatomy of the Eleutherodactylus (coquis) of Puerto Rico. Presently he is a professor of biology at the University of Puerto Rico in Arecibo and Río Piedras, Puerto Rico.
